airtaxiflights.com - Eclipse 500DeKalb Peachtree Airport is the kind of field Very Light Jets were invented for. Built on the site of a World War I training base, it is located only eight miles from downtown Atlanta, is the second busiest airport in Georgia (next to Atlanta Hartsfield International), has four runways and is classified as a general aviation reliever airport. Which means, among other things, that it has no scheduled airline service.

So when we learned that the Eclipse 500 was going to pay a one-day visit to our neighborhood last October, we saddled up our four-wheeler and rode out to DeKalb Peachtree for a first look at the revolutionary airplane so many have waited so long to see. While we were there, the Eclipse crew was kind enough to allow us to videotape interviews with 500 pilot Dan Miele and several demo ride participants.
